ABOUT
Kris Willey – Founder

Kris Willey attended Harbor College as music major with the dream of becoming a composer but that idea was quickly sidelined as she jump started her career as blues guitarist and singer at the tender age of 21. Kris played in various clubs and venues for over 12 years professionally.
During her music career Kris also developed interests in yoga, meditation and ayurveda – so after several cross country tours she decided to give music a break and focus her attention on her passion for health, wellness and the environment.
It was in 2008 that Kris was offered a job in promotions for an environmentally aware vegan ice cream company, Luna and Larry's Coconut Bliss. This opened the doors further into the green space as she began a side career working as natural products rep. After attending various green events throughout Los Angeles she realized that the majority of connections she made in the green space were with other women, so in May of 2009 she formed a networking group specifically for sustainable business women.
The result was somewhat of a phenomenon as women throughout Los Angeles and the nation began to reach out to Kris with the desire to get involved with Women of the Green Generation!
Kris has been featured in The LA Times, Local edition CNN hosted by Brad Pomerance, and various E news publications and blogs. Since Women of the Green Generation’s inception in 2009, Kris has produced 3 WOTGG Conferences, numerous workshops and networking events and remains dedicated to helping women survive and thrive in sustainable business. Kris is always quick to mention that “being green” includes positive transformation on both a personal and global level.
In addition to sharing her gifts as a writer, public speaker and photographer, Kris is expanding Women of the Green Generation and will be dedicating much of her time in 2013 to forming a new group for women that will provide members with all the tools they need to succeed in business.
And Kris is working on launching Whoa!man magazine, an E publication that will feature amazing women who are trend setters and leaders in business, sustainability, the positive thought movement, cultivating community and working towards positive global transformation!
